The bEyonD the boRder of electrΙc VEhicles: an advanced inTeractive cOURse (E-DRIVETOUR) project is funded by the EU in the frame of Erasmus Plus Knowledge Alliances Key Action 2. It has a duration of 3 years, starting from January 2020 until December 2022.
E-DRIVETOUR project aims to develop an advanced interactive course related to Sustainable Electrical Mobility Engineering that would train individuals with the necessary skills & knowledge to work in the electrical automotive industry. The course is designed to follow the European Credit Transfer & Accumulation System (ECTS) credit standards for certification recognition across the EU. As revealed by the title of the project, the main subject falls within the area of vehicle electrification, currently one of the hottest technological fields. However, this boost of the electric vehicle technology, together with the ignorance and “fear” of the automotive industry and market about electricity, has caused a significant gap, thus raising a tremendous need for relevant certified educational programs. The curriculum promises to cover the core and more advanced vehicle electrification issues combined with principles of entrepreneurship and automotive business administration and marketing. A multidisciplinary course is developed including also a small but important contribution from cultural courses.
