We started the project!
On January 15, 2026 our first, official Kick-off online meeting within the Erasmus+ program and project took place

“Limitting Cyber Threats: Increasing Digital Awareness and Competence among Seniors.”
The event was attended by two committed partner teams:
Polish Initiatives Fund Foundation
Cerca Trova Ltd from Bulgaria
This combination of experiences and ideas promised inspiring cooperation from the very first minutes! ![]()

During the meeting, we discussed in detail all the key elements related to starting the project:
Meeting goals and introducing project principles
We started by discussing our common vision – to strengthen digital competencies among seniors and to support them in using technology and the Internet safely.
Meeting of the Steering Committee and Coordinators
We have established a management structure, assigned roles and people responsible for individual activities in the project.
Establishing communication tools
We have chosen the platforms and tools that will help us work efficiently remotely and share work results.
Partner presentations
Each organization has presented its business, experience, and target groups with which it works.
In this section, we listed our first best practices β ideas on how to effectively engage seniors, and which training methods may work best.

We’ve fine-tuned the scope of responsibilities of individual partners and determined the dates of implementation in the first stages of the project.

During the meeting, we covered all the essential elements needed to successfully launch the project:
Welcome & meeting objectives
We opened the meeting by presenting our shared vision β supporting seniors in safe and confident use of digital technologies and the online world.
Appointment of the Steering Committee and Coordinators
Roles and responsibilities were assigned, establishing a clear management structure for the project.
Selection of communication tools
We agreed on the platforms and channels that will help us communicate effectively and share project progress smoothly.
Short partner presentations / exchange of good practices
Each organisation introduced its background, expertise, current activities and target groups.
We also began exchanging first examples of good practices β ideas on how to engage seniors and support their learning in accessible and motivating ways.
Presentation of draft project plans:
Project Management Plan, including risk analysis
Project Work Plan, outlining activities and milestones
Monitoring & Quality Plan, ensuring transparency and high standards
Dissemination Plan, showing how we will share results with wider communities
Discussion of tasks, scope & timelines
We clarified who does what and set initial deadlines for upcoming activities under the projectβs first work packages.

The meeting concluded in a constructive and enthusiastic atmosphere, with both partners ready to move forward with the next steps! ![]()

In the coming months, we will be developing learning materials, testing them with seniors, and sharing our findings with communities and organisations across Europe.
